Beach or mountains? Which do you prefer? Why?
There is a specific kind of silence that you can only find in the middle of a roar.
I took this photo as the sun was struggling against the clouds. It wasn’t a perfect, sunny beach day. It was moody. It was raw. And that is exactly why I love the ocean more than any other landscape.
The sea is honest. It doesn’t pretend to be calm when a storm is brewing. It mirrors the sky above it, accepting the darkness just as easily as it reflects the light.
I find myself drawn to the sea because it feels like a release. On land, we carry so much weight. We carry our past, our future, our schedules, and our expectations. But the moment the water touches your ankles, there is a physical sensation of release. The ocean demands that you be present. You have to watch the waves; you have to respect the current.
In a world that is constantly demanding speed, the sea operates on its own time. It has been moving in this rhythm for millions of years, indifferent to our rush.
I come here not to swim, but to listen. To hear the white noise that silences the overthinking in my head. To watch the waves erase the footprints on the sand, a gentle reminder that it is okay to start over. It is okay to be washed new.

The sea. The moody sea
